Hi,

U can extract the same file from windows 98 cab
files..just find out in which directory u have windows cab
files(Else copy all .cab files from win98 cd into your
hard disk in a folder) type the command extract /a
base4.cab vnetbios.vxd..it will extract the file then copy
the same file to c:\windows and c:\windows\system
directory it should solve ur problem..not require to
reload windows ..

I don't believe that netbios.vxd is a Win98 file.
I have Win98SE and that file is not on my PC.
However I do have a Vnetbios.dll.
Try putting netbios.vxd in the search box in Google or another search
engine for more possible help.
The exact error message would help. ( If it is something like 'a file,
netbios.vxd, that is mentioned in System.ini cannot be found etc.) then:
One thing to try is:
Start,Run and type system.ini and press Enter.
Do a Find (Ctrl-F) in there for a reference to netbios.vxd .
If you find it, just put a ; (semi-colon) in front of that line to disable
it.
Click on the X (to Exit) and say yes to save the changes.
You can easily undo this change by just removing the ; .
